More Time For Pollution Plan

The state of Alaska has more time to develop a plan to improve Fairbanks air quality. An Environmental Protection Agency deadline that passed last year is now December 31st 2014.  As KUAC’s Dan Bross reports, the new timeline also comes with more stringent requirements related to addressing Fairbanks wintertime fine particulate pollution.

Dan has been in public radio news in Alaska since 1993. He’s worked as a reporter, newscaster and talk show host at stations in McGrath, Valdez and Fairbanks. Dan’s experience includes coverage of a wide range of topics, from wolf control to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and dog mushing.
