A Utah man has been ordered to pay 10 thousand dollars and banned from climbing Denali for 5 years. According to the US Attorney’s Alaska District office, 48-year-old Dr. Jason Lance, was sentenced in federal court last week (March 31) after pleading guilty to violating a lawful order during a National Park Service investigation of a May 2021 mountaineering accident on the 20-thousand-foot peak.
