Born in New York state, Andy Blossy has a long relationship with public radio. After serving in the U.S. Marines from 1966-1968, he attended Ithaca College and eventually earned a B.A. and M.A. in studio arts at Eastern Washington University. Andy taught at a community college before heading north to Fairbanks in 1995. He has worked in the athletics community, groomed trails and is a substitute teacher. He started at KUAC as a volunteer and later joined the staff as an FM host producing Sunday evening’s “Nightlight” and periodically hosting “Afternoon Concert” on Fridays. Andy enjoys biking, cross-country skiing and canoeing. “It is a privilege to stay involved with such a valuable community resource like KUAC,” he said.
