City Hall To Be Named For Pat Cole

Dan Bross
/
KUAC

Fairbanks City Hall will be named in honor of longtime city chief of staff Pat Cole.  Cole served the city for decades, until his death in November at the age of 63, due to complications from heart surgery. As KUAC’s Dan Bross reports, Cole’s character and work ethic drew an outpouring of support for naming city hall after him.

Dan has been in public radio news in Alaska since 1993. He’s worked as a reporter, newscaster and talk show host at stations in McGrath, Valdez and Fairbanks. Dan’s experience includes coverage of a wide range of topics, from wolf control to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and dog mushing.
