Fairbanks, AK – Fairbanks North Star Borough Mayor Jim Whitaker is defending his administration's handling of emergency operations and communications over the Wolf Creek and Boundary fires. A local Talk Radio station has targeted Whitaker. As Robert Hannon, Wednesday Whitaker says protecting lives and saving properties were on the top of every agencies agenda.
