The Fairbanks Unified Incident Command reported the first COVID-19 death in the Interior. A 73-year old died on Friday, April 3, at Fairbanks Memorial Hopital. An announcement from Foundation Health Partners reported the patient was admitted on March 25.
FHP reported that the woman had underlying health conditions. Results for a COVID-19 test came back positive on March 27.
