The pilot episode of Dark Winter Nights originally aired on KUAC radio on October 18th, 2014 at 7pm. You hear Melissa Buchta, James Mennaker and Wendy Demers tell stories of close encounters with killer whales, flash floods and village life.  It’s 30 minutes of hilarious and amazing true stories from Alaska with your host Rob Prince, Professor of Journalism at UAF.

Lori Neufeld
Lori’s love for public broadcasting runs deep. She was raised on Car Talk, Morning Edition, Adventures in Good Music with Karl Haas, and later while studying wildlife biology at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, she realized that if she helped answer phones during the fund drive at KMUW, she could meet and chat with the hosts of locally produced shows.
