Borough To Challenge State Assessment

The Fairbanks North Star Borough will fight the state in court over a recent property assessment. Mayor Karl Kassel says the state’s valuation could result in the loss of a million dollars a year in education funding. As KUAC’s Robert Hannon reports, with or without legal action, the assessment will likely cost the borough money.
