Leighton Nunez passed away this week surrounded by family and friends after a year-long battle with cancer. He will be missed but his music lives on with his recordings and in the hearts of those who played music with him and saw him on many stages both in his home states of Louisiana and Alaska. Here is the portion of Any Old Time dedicated to the memory of Leighton Nunez.

Lori’s love for public broadcasting runs deep. She was raised on Car Talk, Morning Edition, Adventures in Good Music with Karl Haas, and later while studying wildlife biology at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, she realized that if she helped answer phones during the fund drive at KMUW, she could meet and chat with the hosts of locally produced shows.
