Expose yourself to modern music with the participants of the Northern Exposure Festival. UAF music student, Kellen Baker started off this session with a solo tuba piece with elements of aboriginal music, hip-hop and rock. UAF term faculty woodwind professor, Jessica Lindsey performed a piece "Wings" for clarinet and told stories of her recent trip to China. Guest violinist, Veronique Mathieu and UAF's pianist Lorna Eder played a Lutoslawski piece with a wide range of emotion. These performers plus many more from the UAF Music Department are part of UAF Morris Palter's Northern Exposure Music Festival.

Lori’s love for public broadcasting runs deep. She was raised on Car Talk, Morning Edition, Adventures in Good Music with Karl Haas, and later while studying wildlife biology at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, she realized that if she helped answer phones during the fund drive at KMUW, she could meet and chat with the hosts of locally produced shows.
