Mariachi Nomeolvides is the very first Mariachi band in Fairbanks and wowed the KUAC audience. Vocalist, guitarist Erika Sobarzo-Bernal founded Mariachi Nomeolvides and recruited violinists Sophia Potter and Leia Hulbert along with Drake Nailing, Trumpet, and Kalani Hoodecheck, Vihuela. Mariachi Nomeolvides has won high school music competitions and Fairbanks Got Talent since Sobarzo-Bernal started the group in 2024.

"Composing in the Wilderness" takes eight composers to the wilds of Denali, where they start and complete a piece that is performed by the new music ensemble CORVUS all in two weeks.
