Violinist Zachary Spontak returned to his hometown of Fairbanks as a Suzuki Institute guest artist with fellow guest artist, violist Jossalyn Jensen. Both Spontak and Jensen were featured guests on NPR's "From the Top". These accomplished musicians played several beautiful pieces and spoke about growing up as Suzuki students. Gail Johansen joined the duo in the studio to discuss her decades of involvement in teaching strings to local students.

Lori’s love for public broadcasting runs deep. She was raised on Car Talk, Morning Edition, Adventures in Good Music with Karl Haas, and later while studying wildlife biology at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, she realized that if she helped answer phones during the fund drive at KMUW, she could meet and chat with the hosts of locally produced shows.
