There’s a chance a derelict downtown Fairbanks high rise will be spared demolition.  The long empty 11 story Polaris Building is owned by Anchorage developer Marc Marlow.  Marlow says he’s still pursuing a plan to turn the deteriorating 1950’s era hotel into apartments, but has refused to comment until he meets with the Fairbanks city council next month.  KUAC’s Dan Bross reports.
