Fort Wainwright Water Sample Tests Positive for Perflourinated Compound Contaminant

A drinking water sample at Ft. Wainwright has tested positive for perfluorinated compound contamination. As KUAC’s Dan Bross reports, it’s the first positive test on post, and it’s unclear if it’s indicative of groundwater contamination already effecting three other locations in the Fairbanks-North Pole area.
