Mercury Violations at Healy 2 Spur Fines, Agreement

Golden Valley Electric Association is paying the Environmental Protection Agency 126 thousand dollars in fines for emissions violations at its coal fired Healy 2 power plant. As KUAC’s Dan Bross reports, a consent decree between the EPA and the utility is aimed at ensuring the plant meets mercury emissions standards.
