POEM
TO A YOUNG WARRIOR WOMAN
keep an open countenance
stand lance-straight
run like deer
speak with sun and star
consult wind
interpret signs
shield creatures
children
and elders
know truth, be just
cherish wisdom
love strongly
your people are proud
