Fairbanks, AK – Republican candidate Jason Crawford is making his first run for Alaska state office, challenging Democratic incumbent David Guttenberg for House Seat 8. The district includes part of the Fairbanks Borough including the University, and stretches south along the Parks Highway to encompass the Denali Borough. Crawford grew up in Cantwell and Fairbanks, and returned to the state five years ago with his family. He's a lawyer, specializing in contract and family law. As Crawford tells KUAC's Libby Casey, like many politicians, he sees getting a natural gas pipeline as his top priority.
