Denali Pioneer Dies

Fairbanks, Ak. – The man who pioneered the trade route up Denali (Mt. McKinley) has died. Mountaineer, photographer, writer and map maker, Bradford Washburn, died of heart failure January 10th in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. He was 96 years old. As KUAC's Dan Bross reports , Washburn's life and work continue to resonate in Alaska.
