Fairbanks, AK – Canadian filmmaker Becky Bristow has always been drawn to adventure. She's a white-water kayaker who learned about the movie business by starring in several outdoor adventure films. When she heard about the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race, Bristow decided to go North and film it herself. Her movie Doggone Addiction is about three women who ran the 2004 Quest, including Yukoner Agata Franczak, who recently died of cancer. As Bristow tells KUAC's Libby Casey, she was inspired by the women's stories.
