Alaskans are voting early in record numbers. In the last general election in 2014, about 22 thousand Alaskans voted before election day, but as of the end of last week, over 31 thousand, ballots had already been cast in the state. Yesterday at the Division of Elections early voting site in downtown Fairbanks, hundreds of people had cast their votes within the first hour. KUAC’s Robyne went to talk to some early voters and the officials who will handle their ballots.
