Alaska Pox and More

UAF

New cases of COVID-19 in Alaska are on the rise.  As if that weren’t worrying enough, Fairbanks recently saw another incident of the so-called Alaska Pox. Both diseases likely emerged from animal populations. To help me understand the situation I turned to Karsten Hueffer, Associate Dean of Veterinary Medicine at UAF.

Also on the show: Belarus remains a concern for those who track international developments. UAF geography professor Cary De Wit continues with his analysis of the country, regional geopolitics and the distressing rise of autocratic leaders

And Chris Lott is in with Katexic Clippings.
