Fairbanks, AK – The Army is hosting public meetings in the Interior to talk about plans for new training facilities in Alaska. The proposed site was near Delta Junction at the Eddy Drop Zone, but Delta officials complained that it would increase flood and fire danger, and be too noisy. As KUAC's Libby Casey reports, the Army is now scoping out nine possible locations.
