Statewide Poetry Contest Winners

Celebrating National Poetry Month on KUAC with the Statewide Poetry Contest first place winners reading their winning poems. This feature starts off with a conversation with Natalie Taylor, Literary Arts Coordinator for the Fairbanks Arts Association and KUAC's Lori Neufeld. Earlier last month, the first place winners visited the KUAC studios to record their poems.

Lori Neufeld
Lori’s love for public broadcasting runs deep. She was raised on Car Talk, Morning Edition, Adventures in Good Music with Karl Haas, and later while studying wildlife biology at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, she realized that if she helped answer phones during the fund drive at KMUW, she could meet and chat with the hosts of locally produced shows.
