  • Nathan Baring grew up in Fairbanks listening to KUAC FM. “It’s been in our family my entire life,” he said. While in high school he volunteered during the KUAC fundraisers, then transitioned to hosting “World Café.” Now he is an on-call announcer. A biology and political science major at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota, Nathan said his job at KUAC FM makes him feel like he is giving back to his hometown. “I feel closer to the community when I’m reading the weather forecast or wildfire announcements or PSAs,” he said. “It’s helping bring people together.”
  • Ellen Eldridge is a digital producer for GPB. She has previously worked as a breaking news reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The topics she most often writes about as a freelance reporter are mental health issues, crime and public safety. Ellen graduated Kennesaw State University magna cum laude in 2015 with a degree in communication focused on journalism.
  • Robbie grew up in New Hampshire, but has since written stories for radio stations from Washington, D.C., to a fishing village in Alaska. Robbie graduated from the University of Maryland and got his start in public radio at the Transom Story Workshop in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Before arriving at Maine Public Radio, he worked in the Midwest, where he covered everything from beer to migrant labor for public radio station WMUK in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
  • Mary Auld was born in Fairbanks and lived here until the age of 9 when her family moved to upstate New York. She earned a degree in creative writing from State University of New York-Geneseo. After working for a newspaper in Montana, Mary began graduate studies in environmental journalism at the University of Montana.
  • Sarah Geledi left her job in advertising in Montreal to pursue a career in music in New York City. She fulfilled that mission, producing content for the JAM Festival at WBGO, segments for The Checkout, and programs for WWOZ and PRI's Afropop Worldwide. She also served as a producer for NYC Winter Jazzfest before landing the "job of her dreams," producing radio for Jazz Night in America.
  • Erika joined KAZU in 2016. Her roots in radio began at an early age working for the independent community radio station in her hometown of Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2012, Erika spent four years working as a television reporter. She’s very happy to be back in public radio and loves living in the Monterey Bay Area.
