1. Gov. Mike Dunleavy trimmed nearly $90 million from the state budget with line-item vetoes Wednesday afternoon. Then he signed a series of appropriations bills.

2. Dunleavy’s spokesperson says he plans to veto a bill naming an University of Alaska Anchorage economic research center after its first director -- Vic Fischer.

3. Senator Lisa Murkowski says President Trump spoke angrily to Republicansenators at a closed-door luncheon Wednesday at the U.S. Capitol.

4. Federal firefighters are working on several lightning-caused wildfires around the northern portion of the Interior, including Ambler, Rampart and Minto.
