Gunman's Mother Questions Police Shooting

There was a funeral service in the village of Northway today (Fri) for a man shot by police in Fairbanks earlier this month. Twenty one year old Mathew Colton Stover of Northway died in a confrontation with FPD officers in a field next to Fairbanks Correctional Center on June 19th. As KUAC’s Dan Bross reports, questions remain about Stover’s motivation and what happened with police.

Dan has been in public radio news in Alaska since 1993. He’s worked as a reporter, newscaster and talk show host at stations in McGrath, Valdez and Fairbanks. Dan’s experience includes coverage of a wide range of topics, from wolf control to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and dog mushing.
