Bureau of Land Management

The state of Alaska is suing the Bureau of Land Management to assert ownership of the Middle and North Forks of the Forty Mile River, in the eastern interior. As KUAC’s Dan Bross reports, it’s the latest move in a decade’s long state effort to gain title to Alaska waters.

Dan has been in public radio news in Alaska since 1993. He’s worked as a reporter, newscaster and talk show host at stations in McGrath, Valdez and Fairbanks. Dan’s experience includes coverage of a wide range of topics, from wolf control to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and dog mushing.
