A 5 point 6-million-dollar grant from the Environmental Protection Agency is aimed at reducing wintertime fine particulate pollution in the Fairbanks North Pole area. It’s the latest of 5 EPA grants totaling over 30 million dollars directed at the problem since 2014. As KUAC’s Dan Bross reports, much of money is focused on replacing wood and coal burning stoves and boilers.
