Yukon Quest dogs had to clear a final hurdle over the weekend before being OK’d to start the race this coming Saturday in Fairbanks. Veterinarians checked race dogs to make sure the animals are fit to run the thousand-mile race, but as KUAC's Lex Treinen reports reigning Quest champion Brent Sass was thinking about a dog he left at home.
